Not a bumper sticker at all, but i found it amusing. There is a model of BMW 53506. In the model I saw the designer had chosen a 'seven segment' style of lettering. As a result, upside down it is POSES. Which almost irresistibly close to POSER.

In Ghana, particularly in Accra, where the cars zoom around dangerously, not to mention the little minibuses totally overloaded and the usual laden mopeds etc, one is in constant fear of being involved in an accident. It's the custom there to write huge signs on the back of vehicles expressing religious fervour. One sees for example JESUS IS LORD! and JESUS LOVES US! On a particularly bad day, on my way in a taxi to the British Embassy, lurching and swerving to avoid certain death, I was briefly amused to see a minibus go by with OH GOD HELP US! writ large on the back window. I could only mutter "Amen!"

In Word, in both Windows and Apple versions, autocorrect or autoreplace can be used to change a "code" that you type to something else, or you can use the "Insert|Symbol" utility; and either of these can be used to insert "symbols." Unfortunately the "symbols" inserted come from a "font page" that simply puts different "pictures" in the spots that correspond to "real characters" so what might print ok directly from Word will print as something different if the "symbol" is pasted into a different program/format like html, or may just print the code you typed.

Professional layout/typography workers DO NOT EVER USE THE WORD SYMBOL INSERTION utility because in any case involving a change in format IT DOESN'T WORK RIGHT, as was demonstrated 'way back at the beginnings of this thread.

Now - - - back to the much more interesting legal graffiti bumber stickers.

A sticker at the bottom edge of the side window of the car parked next to us at Tim Horton's: "Did you vote for Obama? Thanks a lot, Asshole". I'm still disappointed because I didn't have a piece of stiff paper; I printed "You're welcome" on a paper napkin, and tried to put it in the window slot by the sticker, but it just flopped over so he probably wouldn't have seen what it said. I so wanted to be able to move off a ways and watch for the guy to find it.
