Hymn tune for Little darling pal of mine

I am looking for the name and words to a Hymn. THe tune was used for the song "Little darling pal of mine" sung by the Carter Family?? THe only words I remember were "Blessed Savior" ???? infact I am not even sure of that. THe song Little darling w/ some modifacations and new words then became "This land is my land, this land is your land etc"

I will be teaching songs to camp counslers, and want to show how the folk process works.

Little Darling Pal o'Mine is one of my very faves, nice to add some history to it. It kind of goes along in my mind with Are you going away with no words of farewell... whatever that song is.

I think you are looking for "Life's Railway to Heaven" which is quite similar in melody to "Little Darlin"...and has "Blessed Savior, thou with guide us, till we reach that heavenly shore" in the chorus.

should read "blissful shore"..
