Subject: acrobat reader loop

I want to listen to dated broadcasts but I'm caught in a loop. The first time I chose a date for broadcast I got a choice of helpers to choose from. I chose some audio player bacause my real player wasn't on the list. Now, everytime I click on a date to listen, I get a box asking if I want to install acrobat reader. I can't get past it whether I install or not.
What's going on, and how can I get out of the loop.
