...but, by God, the stuff is a wonder.

I have started taking a supplement for memory, and it's fabulous. I just can't get past the name, however...

"Senior Moment". ANYTHING but that...why'd it have to be that!?!

But, in any case, if any of you lot have any issues with memory, and want to improve things, I highly recomend this stuff.

On the subject of memory and treatment etc. I swear this is absolutely true... Some years back the Department of Domestic Arrangements decided to go along with a friend of hers to a new course on Memory Improvement which was being offered at a Further education college near us. They couldn't quite remember if the course was on the Tuesday or Wednesday night, so they decide to go on Tuesday, just in case. Fine. So off they go... When the good lady comes home she tells me the following story. They arrive at the college, but can't find any notices about the course. They ask around and sure enough, the office had forgotten to put up the signs.... Next they find the lecture room, and there's a few other people there already, but no lecturer. Half an hour later, there is still no lecturer. Eventually he arrives and apologises - because he'd forgotten he was giving the lecture........ The good lady didn't go back.

Think I'll stick to those old fashioned remedies like tying knot in my hankie... Now, if I can only remember where I put my hankie..........

Talk about poor names...remember the diet product a few years ago that was called "Aids"? Of course, they either changed their name or closed shop.

And, (this is true)...I knew a fellow in Indianola, MS whose name was Bernard Anthony Dick. He went by "B.A."...B.A. Dick. (I often wondered if he later opened a liquor store!)

I suspect it is all Mr Terry Wogan's fault. He describes an action similar to that of going upstairs and forgetting why you went as a "senior moment" because it affects those of a more mature age range. Morty refers to it as CRS (can't remember shit) which is funnier but not really the sort of name you want to use for a product....

I don't know where he got the phrase from, but he certainly made it popular....

Let's see...

Se - selenium

Ni - nickel

O - Oxygen

R - ?

Mo - Molybdenum

Mn - Magnesium (missing out the "e" for simplicity)

T - ?

A decent mix of ingredients.... If it doesn't help your memory, at least it'll stop you going rusty.

There were recently some articles in the British press about Alpha lipoic acid and beta caritine (or L beta caritine) apparently health food shops had been selling out of the stuff, you have to take it in a specific ratio (2 to 1)

Richard and Judy did a trial with Harry Enfields Dad plus other guinea pigs, the results were quite impressive. Even HE's Dad said he noticed a marked improvement in memory and reaction abilities, and if you know him he's not one to offer waste product of the male cow.

I think I worked out it would cost about £60 a month

please post if this is a different product, I suspect its the same stuff but packaged in one pill. How much is it?

cheers

bill

I agree Amos, I used to wear mine around my neck, but it was stolen by some hippie, last I heard it was getting well and truly wasted.

Well, this sounds like some stuff I could use...

I call my "Moments" "Sometimer's Disease"....

According to something I read somewhere (I forget what and where...) that's what you get before you get "All-the-timer's Disease"

My dad says it's because we're spending more time contemplating the hereafter--we wander into a room, and wonder what we're "here after."

Magnesium is Mg.

perhaps "T" is shorthand for a toluene molecule? And "R" is perhaps Rigglium (a long shot, I know -- I haven't done any chemistry since 12th grade, over 20 years ago, so they probably haven't named any elements for me recently).

Did they finally scrap that method of naming the elements one-oh-fivium and such (albeit in Latin)? That was the styoooopidest idea.

Those names were only temporary, until they could agree on real names. They never intended to name elements after numbers.

Names I hate? Hmmmmm....let's see...

Tyler, Taylor, Harper, Tanner, Potter, McCauley, Kyle, Ashley, Satchel, Reese, Britney, Whitney, Megan...in fact almost all the given names that are REALLY popular these days, specially with the parents of Hollywood kids...

The fact that there is someone out there named Reese Witherspoon will no doubt lead to a tidal wave of little girls named "Witherspoon" Something-or-other somewhere down the line...if Reese remains famous long enough.

Now that I have succeeded in offending 800,000 or so people, I shall return to arranging my collection of Tibetan ventriloquist dummies.

Here 'tis from the supplemental facts on the back:

Cerebral Phospholipids (from standard porcine extract) 50mg

Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) 40 mg

And that be all...
