FWIW, from BluesU: Blues U. offers several opportunities for writers and researchers who would like to help build the University's body of knowledge both through topical writing and archival research: Paid options: Journalism: contribute to the Blues U. Emagazine in categories as specified by our guidelines: Internships: help develop Blues U. interactive media through the WWW and CD-ROM initiiatives, develop, publicize, and coordinate events which further the BluesU mission. Instructors: develop and teach 2-hour seminars on blues or blues-related history and culture, incorporating multimedia presentations and live music as well as lecture, help Blues U. develop an on-line seminar series. Also seeking musical instructors who can teach blues idioms and themes, particularly to beginners. Unpaid options (which do have benefits, including a trial Blues U. Alumni Card: Research: contribute to the on-line archiving project, by submitting 250-word biographies of blues artists which have not been submitted previously, as per the archiving guidelines. |
