Subject: Canadian Catters From: bill\sables Date: 08 Jun 02 - 07:32 AM I know this sounds an unusual request for help and probably nothing will come from it but I have just heard that my cousin has died and there is no address for her son who lives in Canada. He was last heard of in Edmonton and his name is Bill (William) Young. He will be about 55 years old now and we would like to pass on the sad news of his mother If anyone has access to a Canadian phone index and would like to help please PM me with any phone numbers or email addresses. Thanks Bill |

Subject: RE: Canadian Catters From: Mr Red Date: 08 Jun 02 - 08:37 AM is yellow the right colour (sorry color)? Is there a 192.com equivalent? I registered with 192 and get 10 searches /mth for free but it does hold back and give you too much info so 10 is not much. For the Canadians who may not know - 192 is the number to dial here in the UK for Directory Enquiries - "Information". so is there a web-based telephone info service for Canadian numbers? |

Subject: RE: Canadian Catters From: bill\sables Date: 09 Jun 02 - 05:48 AM Thanks everyone, I have passed the information on to his uncle in Dundee Scotland whose son is a policeman. I have not heard as yet wether he has been found but I am sure we are a lot closer to getting him than we were yesterday thanks to your help and the mudcat missing persons help line. Cheers Bill |
Subject: RE: Canadian Catters From: CET Date: 09 Jun 02 - 06:52 AM Bill: You might also try Canada411.sympatico.ca. This gives names and addresses for five William Youngs in Edmonton. Edmund |
Subject: RE: Canadian Catters From: gnu Date: 10 Jun 02 - 05:50 AM The reason I gave the "yellow" address is that you can also search for individuals and that search is powered by 411. However, none of them are very good. Apparently, I do not exist, while my mother, brother, nephew and his wife (returned separately with same address and phone number) do, even though I am in the white pages in the local phone book. |
