The verse appears in the Jacobite song "Oh my king", to the same tune, which I have on the cassette "Fair Length and Share" recorded by Ron Taylor and Jeff Gillett. (Ron Taylor used to be in the Songwainers and there are wonderful versions of "the Banks of Green Willow", "Willie's Lady" and "Willie drowned in Ero" on the same cassette.) Kitty |
