Reasonably typical early summer in Ohio.....High 80's with above average humidity, cools to 60's at night, thunderstorms kick-up every evening and range from mild to intense.

Here in Southeast Alaska, it's seasonably cool- mid50s to low 60s. The skies fluctuate from overcast to brilliant, if brief, sun. By the middle of the summer, our temps will range from mid60s to mid70s. The skies will fluctuate from overcast to brilliant, if brief, sun. ;)

I live in England.......what can I say? It can't make up it's mind if we're having summer or not. 50s - 60s -70's, torrential rain one minute, glorious blue skies the next.

Colorado is dry, dry, dry, dry. The sky in Boulder is hazy because of all the forest fires currently blazing in the state, which are all far enough away for us to feel safe, in a nervous sort of way. Our main source of water is Rocky Mountain snowmelt, but the mountain snowpack never got above about 50% of normal this year. Boulder Creek, which is the main waterway through town and is more like a small river than a creek, looks reasonably healthy unless you realize that it should now be approaching its annual flood stage, and it's nowhere near that. It's at about the right depth for late September, not June. We're praying for rain -- so far without much luck.

In Albuquerque, its low-90s during the day, 50s at night. The sun is very hot, since we are at 6000 feet. The last time I saw rain was last month, but I was in Seattle at the time. We are in our second year of drought...like Deda, we depend on snow-pack for water supply and to replenish our acquifer, and there really hasn't been much snow for a while. A decision was made last week to close off some of the agricultural irrigation system because the Rio Grande had totally dried up south of here, and some endangered Silver Minnows were becoming more endangered by the minute.

I know the folks 'round here will talk about anything, but this is streching it! *grin* In Napa, CA (home of the best wine in the world, thank you very much) it is in the 90s F (too lazy to calculate C for you overseas types, but it's hot). Which is why I'm at my computer and not on the back porch. Can't stand the heat. I'm really looking forward to moving to WA!

Today was 80-ish and very very muggy. Guess I brought Milwaukee's usual heat and summer humidity back to Nottingham, NH with me. Hard to believe we had an inch of snow 3 weeks ago!

Being in East coast Oz, early winter, I would say something similar except it would go like this:

**How dare it actually turn *cold* in early winter!. It's not supposed to do that until Spring!

However my hubby with the bung (i.e. crook, i.e. broken) internal thermostat still walks around in a short sleeve t-shirt and thongs (flip-flops) most of the day and half the evening, and laughs at me in my big warm jumper and socks. I'm threatening to turn him into a portable, solar-recharged heater and patent the idea. Lay him out in the sun during the day, get him nice and cuddly warm, then bring him back indoors and... (well, never you mind about that)

Problem is - he isn't reverse cycle. He doesn't get cool in summer.

Helen - your other half and I sound similar. I'm usually wandering round in thin shirts and sandals even in January/February and you know how cold that can be in the UK.

Oddly enough, I've taken to wearing a fleece a lot recently because for once I'm the coldest person in the office.... they keep complaining that I turn the heater down or the fan up. Like I tell them, they can put clothes on... they really DON'T want me to take clothes off do they? I'm cold because I'm having blood pressure problems. It drops through the floor and I get very chilled. If I move too fast or spend time squatting on the floor, when I get up, I fall over. So I guess I'll just sit there in my fleece and play computer games!

Oh, and for those who want to convert C to F just double the C and add 30 for a rough approximation.

Double dry and warm, tho it has backed off from the 112F days of last week (that's about 40C..and thanks, Liz, for reminding me of that conversion trick). Despite trying to keep up with the watering I had 2 pines lose a lot of needles in that heat, and I knew just how they felt. This is a esert climate, basically, here in Paso Robles (the other finest wine country in the US), so 50-60 degree spread typical between night and day. Just looking at the pictures of the Colorado fires makes me worry about fire season here...hot, dry and windy..bad combination.

I've never seen such a cold June in SE New Brunswick, Canada. We had a heavy frost just a few days ago (two weeks after the full moon of May 26 !!) and the morning temperatures are forcast to be around 6 or 7C for the next few days. I assume the weather will heat up soon to its usual morning high teens and midday thityish temps. Humidity can vary greatly near the Atlantic coast.

In southwestern Ontario it's damp and overcast, though the rain is holding off. About 13 to 15 C degrees. It's dry enough to allow the brick restoration to continue on the church next door, but wet enough to prevent the armies of lawnmowers from contributing to the noise pollution. The window boxes, freshly (and late) planted will benefit from the impending rain, as will the rest of the garden. Just 1km or so from Lake Huron, sometimes the nasty weather passes over us and lands inland a bit, but not today it seems. I think I'll stay in and listen to the World Cup Soccer, pick some mandolin, and do the laundry.

All in all, a fine day for weather.

Early winter in Sydney & I didn't go out today as I am dying from a nasty sniffly cold, (poor me), which I brought back from Gundagai, 5 hours south of Sydney.

It's not very cold yet here in inner Sydney, 19C today I think & around 8 to 10 overnight, tho the western suburbs where Alison lives get colder at night. Last winter was very mild, I never used my heater & wore autumn clothing, tho I used an electric blanket & down quilt at night.

We have recently enjoyed several lovely sessions around open fires, & I will be recovered in time for the next one on Friday. Hope there's a fire, or it won't be the same.

Richmond, Virginia- 92 to 97 degrees Fahrenheit and humid. I felt exactly 3 drops of rain this afternoon when it clouded up. My tomato plants are hanging in there, but I have to water them every day. This time of year I lose my energy. I feel like hibernating in front of the air conditioner.

Cool in the evening last night - about 12 C - Need to dig out the heavy blankets and switch on the old electric coal if this keeps up... It might get down to 8 at night before the winter's out.

Warm and sunny on the wet coast of Vancouver Island for a change. Highs in mid seventies during the day, dropped to a chilly sixty this evening, for those including myself, who hate the temperatures in Celsius.

Was really warm the other evening for the first time this year, which brought about the annual hatch of flying Carpenter Ants in the bush. The buggers invade the house through every open door, window and skylight and we spent a fun evening squishing them or vacuuming them up.

Other than that one little downside, summer has been a long time coming this year and really appreciated. Maybe I will get a decent crop of tomatoes after all.

Have two heritage varieties that I am trying for the first time, one called Black Krim that produces....yup, black tomatoes and one called Rose de Blume, which are pink. Really don't care what colour they are, as long as they taste and smell like real tomatoes. Can't take store bought ones much longer.

Hot and muggy in eastern West Virginia the last few days. I had my air conditioner on for the first time this year today. We were having glorious weather for a week or two there. Clear and sunny with temps in the 70s F. That's my kind of weather.

Here in Sweden it's raining and it makes me very happy! For the first time in weeks I've been down to the city and it was so nice. It's been warm here for a long time (2-3-4 weeks?) and I can't endure heat as I've got MS. Too high a temperature makes all my symptoms worse, for instance I can hardly walk at all. We've had 70-74' (and that's too much!) but today it's only 50 and I feel fine! :-)

North Western Italy.It's starting to get hot.No more rain but we had enough of it in the last 4 weeks.Humidity galore. Summertime weather. For hot I mean 80 F degrees.Not too hot,it's okay for June.
