Subject: New Carter Family CD Set From: dick greenhaus Date: 13 Jun 02 - 12:15 PM As y'all may know, the Rounder CDs of the Carter Family were sold to a German CD publisher, and have been available only in a lovely, but pricey ($300 or so) 12-CD boxed set. Well, for the less-involved, or less-determined, or less-flush Carter afficionados, there's a real bargain that's just been released: A five-CD set of the Carter Family recordings covering 1927-1934, with a total of 127 tracks for $30 (that's right!). Available from CAMSCO Music (dick@camsco com) or 800/548-FOLK (3655). They're nicely re-mastered. |
