hey hey, i got this addy from bat goddes howare ya doing tonight my pretties? i got a question for ya all. i hope this dosen't seem to forward for any one but i got this quest i guse you could call it. i need some info, any one know any thing on day called: the night of the raven? it's driving me nuts what's worse is not only was i born on that night if you go back 9 mo plus the days i was "late" the date lands on the night of osiris. but if you go by what the dr predicted you fall on the night of diana (i think it's diana, i know it's greek or roman and it deals with her or artamis, plus i'm too lazy to get up and look at the calender again)? wierd or what? can some one help me find some info on theses nights the dates seem too hand picked to be just a random thing. well later. hope to be back soon if you'll have me. my dreams as well have been getting weirder and i'm starting to find out few things ni my life are truly random any more. and whats weireder is when i rember my dreams whitch is more frequently as of late, i'm finding myself in arcadia or in the mist covered isle of avolon. always a gaurdian of mine at my side but why is all this happening now? and can any one help me on my quest? i would be greatful for any help. raven, the wild child, aka wild one

nope, it's a holiday called night of the raven, apparently an older holiday, i found it on a monolicics calender.

Bat Goddess needs to refer you to the Annex. They have lots of lovely folk, with lots of obscure holidays, like ones practiced in the dark of the moon.

Post the dates. Without knowing which branch you are drawing your references from... it is difficult...to do the translations. We are into a "high season" and time is limited. What is the source for your calendar?

How are the dates "too hand-picked"? Osiris, Diana and ravens have nothing in common. If you took every holy day of every religion on Earth, you'd be guaranteed to find some holy day that matches your birthday. The Catholic church has a saint's day for every day of the year (with a few important exceptions like Xmas and All Saints' Day).

Night of the raven sounds like celtic tradition. The Morrigan's familiars were ravens. She was a three fold goddess heavily mentioned in Irish stories.

Other than that you'll have to be far more specific. For starters, when is your birthday? We don't even know what part of the year you're in.

This is the only "Night of the Raven" that I could find--

Wild Wild West

Night of the Raven, #6603

Secret agents James West and Artemus Gordon must find an Indian chief's abducted daughter, Wanakee, within three days or face a tribal uprising. Led on a wild goose chase, the agents are confronted by their archival, the diminutive Dr. Miguelito Loveless, who wants to rule a world of "little people." West and Gordon are taken prisoner in Loveless' home where they are held with Wanakee.

Loveless gives West a cigar laced with a size-reducing powder and he wakes to discover he is just six inches tall. West is placed in a dollhouse with the miniaturized Wanakee. Gordon, who is still normal size, is brought into the room and is astounded by what he sees. Loveless proceeds to detail his play to shrink the human world and restore the balance of nature.

West attempts another escape, this time, through a mouse hole, and eventually finds himself in a miniature arena facing Loveless' cat. Wanakee, bound to a post, is forced to watch helplessly as her would-be rescuer faces off with the mammoth feline.

A technical achievement in its day, "The Night of the Raven" is one of the best-loved Wild Wild West episodes. According to Irving Moore, neither he nor assistant director Lenny Katzman had much experience with special effects prior to this episode. They used blue screens, split screens, planned carefully and made a lot of lucky guesses to get the proportions of the characters right.

According to Moore, the Raven itself was less than cooperative. Unable to get the bird to move, the crew tied a string to the bird's leg and when the SPCA man wasn't looking, they pulled on it. The bird would take off and fall to the ground, but they were able to get a few feet of flight on film. Originally, Garrison had hoped to get Sonny and Cher (who appeared as a couple in a Man from UNCLE episode) to play the Indian maiden and her fiance'.

interesting calandar - but "Night of Osiris", "Night of the Raven"; and "Night of Diana" would come from three seperate belief systems, would they not? Can't see how any coincidental conjunctions of the dates would have any meaning. Also - has the publisher of the Calandar corrected for the change between Gregorian and Julian calanders?
