Subject: b/c accordion: sale/swop/part-ex From: Mr Happy Date: 21 Jun 02 - 05:44 AM hi everyone, one of my instruments is a d/g melodeon & i can play it reasonably well. a couple of years ago i got a b/c button accordian but have never been able to master the technique of playing it well enough for my own [or anyone else's] satisfaction. i've sometimes played other folkies g/c melodeons and the method to play is the same as on my trusty old d/g. does anyone have a g/c melodeon to swop/part-ex for my b/c? or, anyone want to buy it? if so for any of the options, please pm me for prices etc. i'm in cheshire, uk cheers, mr h ps i asked joe o for permission for this 'ad' |

Subject: RE: b/c accordion: sale/swop/part-ex From: GUEST,Davetnova Date: 21 Jun 02 - 09:09 AM Mr Happy sorry if my other posting confused. It is actually a d/g I've aquired. I'm Picking it up gradually but I would be delighted if you could point me in the direction of a good learning book or even the names of a few English dance tunes. At the moment I play Scots/irish stuff on my mandolin but I find that I cant handle the melodeon fast enough to play most of them. |
Subject: RE: b/c accordion: sale/swop/part-ex From: Mr Happy Date: 21 Jun 02 - 12:35 PM davetnova, when i started, i used dave mallinson's melodeon tutor book; 'mally's melopdeon methods' its pretty effective and there's also a tape available with all the practice tunes. you can get the book at folky shops or the music room, cleckheaton. hope this info helps good luck with your learning cheers mr h |
