Well it's back. Honking Duck, the site containing hundreds of digitized Old Time 78s from the Jim Bollman collection has been reawakened. You can find it HERE, so get them all downloaded (by right clicking on the Real Play option - not the streaming option) before they vanish again. For those who haven't met this site, if you're into Old Time music recorded in the 20s and 30s - this is the place.

The connection timed out on me - I'm hoping that's just because Mudcatters and others are all trying to get through.

Assuming that this is a temorary blip, and that the facility is really is back today, I think that is about the best way you could have of marking your Independence Day. (And better than some other ways, from what I read and see.)

If there's a Mudcat Medal of Honour available, the man deserves it.
