found this tune out on a polish shanty site - the music is listed as traditional, but the polish lyrics are attrbuted as "original" rather then . the only lyrics I have found in English are also on a polish shanty site and appear to be a back-translation.

anyone have the original words in English?

The ABC file has chorus first, then verse:

X:1
T:GOODBYE MOLLY-O
M:4/4
L:1/8

I think that should be "D2 C4C2" in Bar 1

you're right mick. sorry - I don't "read" abc any better then I do straight notation - which makes it hard to proof.

Ross McManus ‎– The Leaving Of Liverpool

A song entitled 'Goodbye Molly-O' appears on that vinyl record on track B7 (the last track on the 'B' side).

Probably not relevant - but of course the second verse of Tipperary starts:

"Paddy wrote a letter
    To his Irish Molly-O.
