Subject: Wanted: Celtic MIDI Sites From: Date: 07 May 98 - 12:49 AM I am creating a web page index to all the Celtic midi files that I can find on the web. It will be a great resource for people that are looking for a particular tune, or for people ,like me that use Midis as a source for new tunes to learn to play.(I don't see any point in duplicating what is already available) Please submit any celtic midi sites that you know of. Thank you. |
Subject: RE: Wanted: Celtic MIDI Sites From: murray@mpce.mq.edu.au Date: 07 May 98 - 05:57 AM This is not exactly what you ask for, but the URL http://www.gre.ac.uk/~c.walshaw/abc/ Has a lot of links to Celtic sites with tunes in abc rather than MIDI format. Some of the sites have MIDI files too, I think. I am not trying to push ABC over MIDI, but the information you are interested is contained in these files at these sites. The page also points to free software for playing abc files and for converting them to MIDI files. Murray

Subject: RE: Wanted: Celtic MIDI Sites From: Date: 07 May 98 - 10:13 AM Thank you for the midi sites.I don't need any advice on the use of search engines. The search engines just keep bringing back the same choices. Keep the midi sites coming. Thanks. |

Subject: RE: Wanted: Celtic MIDI Sites From: Helen Date: 12 May 98 - 08:33 AM Hi Padraic This site is a good starting point for Celtic things of all kinds, which is why it's called Every Celtic Thing on the Web, I suppose :-) http://celt.net/og/ethmusic.htm Every Celtic Thing This address is for the music links, but there are also about 4 pages of Celtic musicians' links as well.
