Can anyone supply the lyrics to Ray Hearne's 'Thurnscoe Rain'? It was recorded also by Coope Boyes and Simpson. I seached the net, but failed to turn up the lyrics. The line that I cannot decipher in the CBS recording follows this one:

Till the anger like a blister bursts inside her

It sounds something like:

Winter and some rages down the durn

Any assistance in deciphering this mondegreen will be appreciated. Thanks.

I had a phone call from Tony in Humpty Doo who saw my request. He has the lyrics. The line in question is:

Winter rants and rages down the Dearne

The Dearne Valley and Thurnscoe are in South Yorkshire. Ray Hearne hails from Rotherham.

Thanks Tony.
