I used to live on the island-maybe we know each other(I used to play the bars and with the Rubber Boot band) and got the fiddle bug at Rollo Bay about 20 years ago. I'm still a bad fiddler but the sight of 60 or 70 fiddlers warming up in the old school portables was a sight to behold. |

Subject: RE: Fiddle Festival next weekend PEI, Canada From: Kelticgrasshopper Date: 11 Jul 02 - 08:22 AM You have to go back and visit in August. The site has VASTLY improved. Still the "wonderful, magical" Warm up room.. But there is also a very large enclosed theatre for dances, and parties. REAL FLUSH toilets LOL and HOT showers for the campers. Still the canteen, and the wnderful stage. They hold Ceilidh's every Thursday night great time!! So if you miss the festival you can still make it to a Ceilidh!! |
