That should be an excellent show! They are two exceptional musicians. I'm looking forward to them coming back to the States. I missed them last time. If you get to talking to them, do me a favor and see if it's in their plans. Thanks.

Well Sarah prepare to be even more envious, I'm just back, and it was a fabulous evening. For anyone who's interested they're in Lochinver to-morrow night. [Friday] Big John the sound man, sends his regards to Andy Mitchell, of whom there is a very old flyer, on the back wall of the stage. Come on Andy we know you're out there!!
Failte.....Giok

I'm here under my new Mudcat name "strupag" (a wee cup of tea". I thought Andy Mitchell was a wee bit too formal. Actually I passed through Ullapool on Wednesday and heard Bryan MacNeil do the most bizare interview on Lochbroom FM - the station which once was local, but as Brian found out, has been taken over by aliens from somewhere near the planet Cac. The lady interviewing started by saying that she's not into this folk stuff and that basically she had never heard of Brian or Dick. That was the good bit! She got worse from then on. Brian, the bold cheil, nevertheless, got on and gave out the information of the tour dates etc despite being constantly interupted by the Cac banshee. Oh God, to think I was instrumental in starting up this station which has in it's constution, a commitment to traditional music. Anyway, I'm megga p'ed off that the boys missed the misty on this tour. If they come to Skye next time I'll be delighted to interview them in the new station Cuillin FM which should start on March/April 03. I take it that the sound man referred to is the great John Weatherby who could even get a good sound out of a concert in Stornoway Opera House. Glad, but not surprised that you had a great night. Slainte Andy

This is the typo in the Tolpuddle blurb

Both have made their mark in seminar bands: Dick in the 70s as an early member of the Boys of The Lough and as a founder member of Five Hand Reel, Brian as founder member of the Battlefield Band in 1969. Both were part of the ground breaking Scottish ensemble Clan Alba in the 90s.

Any suggestions as to what a seminar band may be, or sound like?
