Subject: RE: Help: Spam filter From: Mark Clark Date: 13 Jul 02 - 12:35 PM That functionality is highly dependent on the email solution you've chosen. Some HTML-based mail services (MSN, Hotmail) let you set up blocks from specific domains. The Eudora email client does a great job of letting you filter email on the client side. You need the full version of Eudora to do it which means either paying the $50 USD or so to license the full version or using the advertising version and filling your computer with spy-ware. I found that you can use the full-function free version of Eudora, along with advertising, and then use Ad-Aware to clean up the spy-ware. Doubleclick cookies still show up from time to time but everything else seems to stay pretty clean. I'm not certain but cleaning up the spy-ware may violate the agreement you sign when you download the full-function free version of Eudora. I'm currently using MS Outlook as a client to MSN so I block offending senders at the server end. - Mark |
