Hi to All; More curious than anything.... I'm more of a writer than a musician,though I do toy with a song or two. Is there a place here to post writings that another member may want to put to music? If there is,maybe a more creative person could do the "finishing touches" on a piece.Most of the stuff I write about is more of a "traditional" nature.... Thanks!

Sure, you just start a new thread called Help: Add Tune for [song title] or something, and write an opening post explaining what you want people to do. Try that and see what happens and refine it as you go along.

Or you could institute something called a Tune Challenge, like Aine does the Song Challenges.

Some else did this recently, didn't they? I believe three or four people responded with midi's and or tapes

A "Song Challenge" might be a nice idea,doing the music "score" thing...Like i said...I have written a couple,but I find it extremely difficult scoring moreso than getting creative with the pen like I do and coming up with half of what to me,would make a good "ditty".... But someone out there is more creative the other way around...
