What a smashing event that is.Hats off to the organisers (especially for sorting out some sunshine in an otherwise different year). I particularly admire the professional quality of picnic gear the audience bring; never seen so many chairs, tables, ice boxes, sunshades, varied food. And the music wasnt bad either! Very simple event (for those who dont know it): one stage, one day (half a day really), no workshops, no sessions. Just sit about in an agreeably shaped field and picnic and enjoy music and chat. Anyone else there?

Didn't you notice if there was anyone there at the time, Greg?
Didn't you wonder where all the rapturous applause for the Boat Band was coming from?

I don't understand it myself, but it seems there are folk events that come and go with no significant Mudcat presence. While you were pseeking pseudonyms in Biddulph, I was at Bromsgrove folk (and beer) festival - a delightful event, but as far as I can see without mention here, which probably means that there was no great Mudcat presence.
