Subject: Old Music online-78s and more! From: Bill D Date: 17 Jul 02 - 12:24 PM well, you find links in the most interesting places! I was reading my newsgroup alt.crafts.woodturning, when someone mentioned as an aside his son's site here where there are some old records with the likes of Big Bill Broonzy, but tending towards jazz...this had links http://www.dnai.com/~swazoo/sites.html to others, especially to
this amazing place where you will find almost anything to do with old records...tech, samples and more links, such as this one and this other one have fun...don't get lost now....*grin* |

From: GUEST,.gargoyle Date: 17 Jul 02 - 11:42 PM Bill thanks for the links....I am as delighted as you, about one jazz one in particular, never would have found it.... however, don't point these plebians to the newsgroups - there must be some succor and reassuring respite in a world of cacaphonious catterwhaling
Sincerely THANX, Gargoyle |

Subject: RE: Old Music online-78s and more! From: wysiwyg Date: 18 Jul 02 - 11:08 AM Well, Bill, no doubt there is a lot of cacophonous caterwauling in newsgroups. But not much cacaphonious catterwhaling, I would guess. Except, perhaps, among devotees of shanties. ~Susan |
