The New River is the located throughout the Appalacian Mts. in the Eastern Part of the US. The New River Gorge specifically is located in West Virginia so just WV are also appreciated.

The main part of the river is in southern West Virginia and adjacent Virginia east of the Clinch Mts.

"The Wreck on the C & O" also mentions the New River. In the DT
