Subject: RE: Req: steeleye span first 2 songbooks From: GUEST,Nino Date: 04 Jun 16 - 10:58 AM I saw the 2002 acknowledgement and thanks for the Steeleye Span books, but that person is sadly no longer at that email address. I am requesting scans of the Steeleye Span books, which are no longer available, anywhere. I've searched the internet and our library system. I'm the librarian for the local Senior Chorus and want to introduce this music, which I believe would fit our group well. Please send scans of the books you have, or provide alternative availability. Sincerely, NinoUpte7@gmail.com (San Francisco). |
Subject: RE: Req: steeleye span first 2 song books From: Dita Date: 31 Jan 04 - 08:43 PM Hi Geoff, The reason this one looks like my last post is because, at that time you couldn't log on from multiple sites and be recognised. Hence the Guest and "at work". Now I can log on both home and away. After the crematorium (where the music was by Willie Nelson, [on tape]), we went back to Motherwell Civic Hall, and a concert ensued with The Dubliners, John Martyn, Allan Taylor and many other friends of Hamish's, Danny, Iain, Arthur, Phil, myself and many others. I played from the 70s - 90s in a band called Diggery Venn, and we used to perform a lot of double bills in Scotland with Hamish, and many other solo artists, (we were a band with a PA and a good looking female vocalist). I don't remember Tommy, Ben or Colum being there but that might just be my disfunctional memory. My sound man and bass player, Ian, did the PA on the night, and made a DAT for the family, so I'm sure he will know for sure. Will be in touch once I've talked to Ian. John McCreadie/Dita |
Subject: RE: Req: steeleye span first 2 song books From: GUEST,Geoff Harden Date: 31 Jan 04 - 02:29 PM This is not really a post to this thread - just trying to make contact with "John" whose message I hve come across. This seems to be John's most recent post so maybe he will see this. I noticed in an earlier thread about Black I s The Colour that you sang at Hamish's funeral. Hamish was a good friend and I was not able to get to the funeral. Who else was there? If I remember, one or two of the Sands family wnet. Who sang? Indeed, who are you?? This is probably against the etiquette of Mudcat but if you do see this John I would love to hear from you at geoff.harden@ntlworld.com Geoff Harden (Belfast) |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: steeley span first 2 song books From: GUEST,Paul Date: 04 Aug 02 - 11:08 AM If you want a direct email, an email address would help... a lot of the songs have midi files in the DT or elsewhere, which can easily be converted to sheet music, or are you looking for chords too? i could work out chords for a few. If you could name some of the tunes you want, I'll try my best to help. Paul |
