Free Music - Last Chance

Subject: Free Music - Last Chance to Download

For a while now, I've kept a "chronology" online of some of my recordings. Appears there's enough now to do an actual CD.

For those of you with fairly fast connections and MP3 capability, you are welcome to download anything you like from here.

After the end of August, most of the recordings there will be offline and go on an actual CD. Distribtion arrangements, costs, etc... are still pending, but I will work it so that Mudcat and Max benefit, should there be enough interest here in people actually wanting to purchase a CD.

Have to clear out the webspace those songs are currently occupying as I'm starting some new recording projects for what will hopefully be a 2nd CD. Those tunes as they become available, will replace the exisiting ones and then when there's enough of them I guess we'll have a second CD.

If you missed the Ragtime Radio show with Rick back in Februrary, there are a couple of highlights from that show on the linked page as well.

Thanks darlin'...now, I've been meaning to mention, I heard a wicked kewl piece by Doc and Merle called "Windy and Warm." It sounded right up yer alley, in fact I found myself thinking.."Gotta tell JP I'd love to hear him do this one!" Maybe on the second CD?

Yes Kat! "Windy & Warm" is one I've been thinking of adding to the ole repertoire. Soon as I get through the 4 I'm currently finalizing to be recorded, I'll tackle it.

Great stuff JP, just the sort of guitar pickin' I love. It seems to be going out of fashion this side of the pond, what with all this fancy DADGAD tuning everybody seems to hanker after. It's not natural, if you ask me! Mark my words, No Good Will Come OF It.

Justa, have you ever tried Merle's "Reenlistment Blues"? It's the song from my Merle CD that keeps coming into my head when I'm not listening to the CD. I know you don't like to sing, but you could get someone else to sing it then you do the echoed phrases.
