An altrication between Tup and Bruce occured on the Thursday evening shorly after arriving at Saltburn Festival and setting up.

Bruce is a beautiful black and Tan dog who is on duty as guard dog at Saltburn. Tup is the mystical, ginger, bengal tiger eyed cat, often seen in company with Magician and hanging around the food tent at festivals.

Bruce, it transpired, adores chasing cats. Tup on the other hand takes umburance at having her bum sniffed!! If was the latter that caused Tuppy to swear rather loundly and hiss, arch her back and swear some more.

Bruce being quite undisturbed by this, continued his investigations. All of a sudden, wamp, bang Tup lashed out and swiped Bruce accros the nose, at which, naturally, he backed off. No harm was done but there after Bruce, although quite interested, kept a healthy distance.

Each sighting of Bruce resulted in Tuppy once again swearing loundly, hissing and arching her back.

(Tuppy had also added to here claim to fame by autographing Marie Little's guitar case and also tying up her gutiar machine heads whilst Marie was performing in Moor & Coast)

And here was me thinking our own Joe Clones had thrown Ian Bruce off the Mudcat......

Sounds like a battle royale, and could become extended..... will there be a revenge match?

Sounds like Tuppy is not one to forgive and forget. And for all his bum-sniffing, I would say Bruce is a well trained gentleman.

And here I was thinking they had thrown me off the Mudcat. Never even been rowdy enough to get tossed from a pub. Only been back on the 'Cat a few weeks and already thrown out. Tough crowd you lot. Whatever it was, I didn't do it.

I assure you it was a sight worth seeing. As the one responsible for letting Magician have both Tuppence and Halfpenny I was ashamed of her treatment of such a sweet natured guard dog - even though it tried eating my scotch pancakes!

It could have been quite catastrophic, you should be more careful with your scotch, but how does a dog know that you drink it and not eat it, and you a gin drinker too
