Subject: Polizania? Politsania? From: Mrrzy Date: 14 Aug 02 - 03:28 PM I heard this in Hungary in the 80's, at the same time as I learned I will Survive, which I only say because I think they were both new at the same time, or maybe only liked by the same person, who knows. This is either going to be really easy or really hard, since I can't remember any of the words. It was about a fictional place, reminded me a little of the Prisoner of Zenda. Sometimes the chorus was Polizania, Politsania... and it had several tunes within it, like there would be a verse with a particular tune, next verse same tune, then another verse with a totally different tune, then the chorus with yet another... ???!? Help? Thanks! |

From: Jim Dixon Date: 16 Aug 02 - 12:34 PM A band called Klaatu (who were once rumored to be the Beatles in disguise) recorded "Long Live Politzania" on their album "Hope" Capitol LP 11633, 1977; reissued as Attic Bay CD 50013, 1996. Their debut album "Klaatu" plus "Hope" have also been combined and reissued as "Klaatu/Hope" Collectors' Choice Music CD 121, 2000. The lyrics can be found here or here. |
