I have seen Sean MacRiamoinn listed as the author of the English translation (above), but I don't remember where I found it. The song itself is also on the Boys of the Lough MIDWINTER NIGHT'S DREAM and on Aengus' ALL ON A CHRISTMAS MORNING albums.

A search via Google returns a number of texts on various sites. There is a .pdf of Christmas tunes (staff notation) compiled by John Walsh here: http://www.ceolas.org/pub/tunes/tunes.pdf/xmastunes.pdf which includes music for the song.

Many thanks, I didn't find the forum links first time. If anyone out there has the music to the piece I would be very grateful.

Can anyone help provide the lyrics and the notation of the irish carol 'Do'n Oiche Ud I mBeithil' roughly translated as 'That night in Bethlehem'. A search across the web has not been successful.
