Threelegsoman is a great resource. Some incredible effort goes into this site. If you were looking just for chords and lyrics this is your place. But there is some documentationand history worth the read as well.

Yah, the "A" belongs there. I'm not too good at playing air guitar while I try to write down chords. You can also throw a Bm in the middle of that line if you want to vary the D. A7's work fine also. I used the 7ths all the time when I used to sing it in E, because a B7 is a lot easier for me to play than a B

Much as above, but I would agree about the A in the line above: also, I would do a quick A/D on "on - ly" and "lone - ly" after the G. Try It! Tattie B

I've been playing it for 35 years as a three chord song in D, nothing fancy or complicated. (well actually years ago I used to do it in E, but the high notes aren't as easy as they once were).

I can do the lyrics, I'm pretty good with lyrics. But I'm afraid that the chords would take me a long time and that even then I wouldn't get them quite right. For anyone who is interested I will listen to the album several times and post the lyrics later today.
