Hello folks- I've been looking for this song, and any others with references to Macfarlands (melodies would be great, too). It may have another title: could be music hall vintage. Thanks all- Julia

Well, there is Aye Wakin Oh in the DT; it's not what you are looking for, but Grace MacFarland is in it. I'll see what else I can dig up.

It's on the McCalman's deleted album, Bonny Bands Again, from 1982. Try the Macs website - sorry, don't have the ref., but a search engine will find it.

If you have no luck, mail me at ianb@skywriter.demon.co.uk and I'll try and look out my version and copy the lyrics.

YAY!!! I did try to send an earlier "yay" but it apparently got mialayayed. Enny whey- this is definitely the song- looks like a bothey ballad to me. Thanks so much I also found a song "Three Macfarlands" from North dakota which is less than complimentary to the clan as well. Some of he familystories I hear hint that they were a rough bunch.. Anyone nkow anything about a Macfarland Manuscript from 1741- some collection of music? best- Julia
