If you mean Mairi's Wedding, both words and tune are in the digital tradition - use the blue search box above

Guest, Bear, the words are in the link just above. I don't know why it didn't work above. One of the links which DID work showed a set of chords for the one of the verses.

Hope that helps.

Shouldn't it be called 'Lewis bridal song'?

It goes by both titles - Mairi's Wedding and Lewis Bridal Song.

Roberton published it as Lewis Bridal Song (Mairi's Wedding) (1937). There are some mistakes in the DT file; some of the links George has given have more accurate texts.

In the book as the Lewis Bridal Song (Mairi's Wedding) there is another song, lyrics by J N McConochie, which is called Marie's Wedding (same spelling as in the thread title)

https://imslp.eu/files/imglnks/euimg/0/00/IMSLP391273-PMLP633147-Roberton_Songs_of_the_isles.pdf
see page 40 of the book for musical notation.

Dancing at the Clachan Inn for
now to banish care with laughter
Dancing at the Clachan Inn for
Here's a health to Marie!

oo vee ah vee oo vee ah vee
Here's a health to Marie

Toe and heel, we dance the reel
For Donald's wed to Marie

-- I've tried searches using lines from the song, but everything I try comes up with the better known Lewis Bridal Song. And a search for J N McConochie only yielded the digital copy of The Road to the Isles with the score for a choral arrangement of this song. It's sung as a strathspey in a medley with two reels, Mac a Phee Turn the Cattle Round (http://mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=45791 and Varry Van Mochree (a Mháiri bhan mo chridh, fair Mairi of my heart)

I found a recording of a choir singing in Gaelic the medley published in English as "Marie's Wedding"
here is the choral arrangement:
Strathspeys & Reels: U-Bhi A-Bhi, Mac-a-Phi, Stad A Mhairi Bhanarach

mention of the Clachan Inn reminds me I was once in a nice session in the Clachan Inn in Glencoe in about 1969- we were thrown out by the manager for playing dirty tunes- make what you can of that..... Donal Maguire was there & can confirm!
