Now, now, MG, the man was only asking a question. No need to give him that "See here" stuff. [insert stupid smiley face thing here]

Aloha,
Mark

Mark, what is your problem?

I sent our guest to the place where the info is.
What is wrong with that? Should I have copied the stuff here?

In my opinion it is better to keep the discussion in one thread. In this case such a thread did already exist. So what is wrong with relating guest to that thread?

See where trying to be funny gets you, Mark?
(It made me laugh, though)

It was once recorded by the Chris Barber Jazz Band, vocals by Ottilie Patterson. And I know it's available in CD format but other than that I have no information.

Noting the previous two listings reminds me that humour sometimes doesn't work well here.

Andy, "See here..." as in See here young man" could be used to preface a good telling off, which is what I imagine Mark was referring to.

You have, as usual, done nothing wrong, so have a smile from me too :0)

and one for Mark :0)

Sorry if I did not recognize the joke.
English is not my first language, and I am not good at English.

One of my favourites; I have the Ottilie Patterson version.

Don't worry, Mudguard, there are a lot of people whose first language IS English who are not too good at it either.

If you want a really bizarre version, try "The Black Rider" CD by Tom Waits, which contains a version sung by William Burroughs, presumably before he died.

Not necessarily T-Boy, with Bill Burroughs you could never be sure!

It can be hard to tell humor on the internet. The give away is [insert stupid smiley face thing here] or BG (big grin) or the actual smiley face :-)
