Hey there, Ferrara! I had the pleasure of meeting your son this weekend. Thanks for asking him to say hi. Wow! That boy is *tall*! (of course, I am not exactly one to judge that all that well, being all of 4'10" m'self).

I got to see Mmario for a brief moment or 2 this past weekend as well. Great news, Mmario!! I really do hope that the gig in R.I. works out. And if so, you will be seeing me up there at least for a visit. Doctor Matt (Stubbs of old) lives up there, so I have automatic crash space available.

Vince, as always, it was a pleasure seeing you. Please take the offer Brad extended to you seriously...we'd love to have you on board with us when you have the spare time.

Music at the Maryland Renaissance Festival has been wonderful this year. I'd like to mention that there is yet another new group in the house. "Bedlam". The boys are soft voiced, but their sound is just beautiful. They have a wonderful vocal blend, and some really superb unexpected harmonies. I highly recomend anyone in this area come out and see the music that the Faire has to offer. I realize that much of what is there is not for everyone, but you can avoid what you don't like and spend a day just absorbing the music. Check out this URL for what you can hear if you come out.

We will be having the famous "Mediaevel Baebes" in this year for a weekend as well. Quite the heavy hitters.

Seamus - you should GO! by my count there were 56 musicians there performing on Monday - and I believe the weekend of the 21st there will be 70-some odd!

(And some are *very* odd - but that's another subject..*grin*)

Celtic, your post has "recruited" me. I haven't been to a RenFest since Shadowmonk got old enough to find himself a ride.... But I've always loved it.

Too old and decrepit to take the heat anymore, so I'll try to get out there on a "coolish" day. Are the Pyrates there on weekdays or does it all only take place on weekends?

Hey Rita! The fair runs weekends only, but with two days advance notice, we will set the thermostat to a comfy 68 degrees. We need that much lead time because it takes a while to cool down a 24 acre site with fairy wings. MMario, who ya callin' odd? xxxx

I highly recommend Marlyland's Renaissance Festival. The Music alone is worth it, not to mention the crafters and food (stay away from the turkey legs, though, little too salty)
