Subject: RE: Music for de-bugging software From: Amos Date: 05 Sep 02 - 09:46 AM This is great. THey should add haptic devices that can shake your hand when things go well, or pat your head, and then tap you on the shoulder when something is out of whack! A |

Subject: RE: Music for de-bugging software From: Bert Date: 05 Sep 02 - 12:56 PM This does sound fun, but one should NEVER debug the code. All debugging should be done at the program design "stage. Back to the drawing board" as the saying goes. You go back and debug the DESIGN. If you don't have a design you are not a programmer you are a hacker. |

Subject: RE: Music for de-bugging software From: Helen Date: 06 Sep 02 - 02:02 AM I read this article this morning in the mag. My faciful imagination immediately came up with the idea that these musical sounds will become part of some new musical styles, like the current techno music which is generated on computer rather than played on instruments. I mentioned the article to some students in one of my classes - they are studying multimedia etc. It gives an added dimension to the term "multimedia". Helen P.S. I shouldn't read that mag when I am supposed to be working. It throws my schedule right out the window. It's all too interesting. |
