I'll suggest this for what it's worth. You might try contacting the folks at Homespun Tapes. They might be able to help.
Jim

P.S. I tried a Google search and came up dry.

Unbelievable that you couldn't find him Jim. The guy's a wizard guitarist and in addition to being a nice bloke, he can be very funny. I hope this thread stays up a while and someone finds him.

Oh, I know he's a guitar wizard. I bought his Homespun Tapes series on ragtime guitar almost twenty years ago. Actually, I was rather surprised at my dismal results.

I remember seeing this guy several times in the late 60's he was incredible, but I saw that they had re-issued 2 of his Transatlantic vinyl abums ("Sky in my pie" and "Head in the clouds")on CD(Essential ESMCD 358 )on a visit to a big record store here in London UK last year..I know cos it is before me as I write.

You might try Eddie Walker at eddiewalker@raggedrecords.freeserve.co.uk. Eddie and John formed a great duo known as Carolina Shout.
