...and what he's been up to today?

I loved his writing and really appreciated his twist on a melody -- often more interesting than the average bluegrass chord progressions.

anyway, I'm not seeing his name popping up on liner notes or concert bills. Anyone know him/what he's up to?

Don't know him personally, but have met him and know exactly who he is. For those who might not know, he was in the original Union Station band, and wrote many of the early hits for Alison Krauss. As John Hardly suggests, a fine song writer.
