Once again there is a connection running throughout the quiz, and it may be found as the answer to Q1. Or Q1 may be answered once a few more have confirmed the connection.
As Usual, please do not give answers in the thread, although comments are welcome.
Also as usual, I have taken some liberties with spelling!!

Nigel

OK, finished the lot. I think the 20 quote should possibly be "The French are bred to die for love"..it's not a folksong, so the concept of a "right" version is acceptable. However, it is sung in different ways so I guess others are OK. "are glad to die for love" has also been used.

PS that one suited me fine, Nigel. What's the trick of setting a good quiz? If you know, don't brag about it. We'll cross that one when we come to it.

greg: setting a good quiz?
Well, if you think this applies to me, then here's my system.
First find your theme, or decide on a connection (initial letters of answer, final letter of answer, all containing a double letter [or a specific double letter])
Next come up with about 25 answers, and try to write suitable questions for them (This will usually knock you down to my standard of 20 once you find that a good example of your theme has no suitable alternate definition)
Double check references for any you feel require it
Do a suiable layout. Mine is a table with 3 columns, Number,Question, answer. To re-use a quiz, I can re-print it, but for different style functions I can delete the answer column, and photocopy as hand-outs.
Despite the varying responses to these quizzes, I find that my regulars at the local will have a top score of 17-20 (85%+) whilst most get a score of 14-17. If any one (or team) fail to get 10 then I have made it too hard, and if their is a multiple tie for 20 then it's too easy

Nigel

Dave Bryant. Sugar'n'Spice answers @SQ2 with answers to many others, mostly with clickies to take you back to the original quizzes. So if you can avoid reading all the answers just click yourself back.
