I heard Travis Edmonson, of Bud & Travis, use a similar line long before that. I'm sure some anonymous banjo picker probably used the same comment at a long forgotten Saturday night get-together somewhere in Appalachia. Point is, the "folk process" takes the accompanying stories, anecdotes and memories right along with the music, doesn't it? |
