You will find the parody (by Crawford Howard) Here

Perhaps a kindly Joeclone could amend the title of this thread ????

Murray

Are you saying it should say Green Fields of France? The name of the song is No Man's Land. However there is a parody called Willie McBride's Reply. It's in the DT. There are at least two threads on these parody songs:

Parody of No Man's Land #1
Parody of No Man's Land #2
Willie McBride's Reply

Thanks for the vintage Crawford Howard, Murray. Hilarious as usual---and without the snide politico/moral sarcasm of some of the other "parodies". Anyone able to say what Crawford is up to nowadays? He used to do some work in conjunct with Tommy Sands.

George, when I made that posting, the title of the thread was "Lyric Reqd: fleadhman".(Observe the Subject line in my posting)

Our guest "fleadhman" had obviously put his Mudcat name by mistake in the thread title.(perfectly understandable mistake for a novice user).

Now, some kindly Joeclone has in fact acceded to my request and changed the thread title. So everybody is happy now, (I hope).

Boab, I will find out what Crawford is doing and report back. I saw Tommy Sands last night at Aberfeldy Folk Festival and he was as brilliant as ever. What a performer.

Murray
