Just to let you know my old blues and folk music website is as dead as the Dodo, but my new sound archive is better organised (i'm still putting it together) and you can now choose the categories of sound file you would like to listen to ie..folk sounds, blues sounds.acoustic sounds, poetry sounds....Currently there are sound tracks in all the categories, but you'll find mumerous totaly unique musical sound poems.....my latrest posting is Padraic Colum's "Monkeys" poem set to music(Colum 1881 - 1972 wrote the irish folk classic"She moved through the fair"....anyway if you care to check me site over..you will find plenty of listening material....and theres plenty more to come...so do pop back and see whats new occasionaly..

Hi, Jim - what was your old site? If it has been listed here on on our links page, I'd like to update the information.

PS....All the sound files on my site do work....how you open e'm depends on how your computers set up..I've found recently that after restoring my PC to its factory state, thus ditching all those competeing other sound and video players (ie realplayer/quicktime etc) So i'm back to the good old basic Windows media player....I can open wav files simply by clicking on them and in a moment or two they open and play on the Windows media player as sweet as a nut.......

If your PC's arent as pure as mine, then just click right(on your mouse) on the wav files,"save target as"..then allow it to download onto your PC,save it the file in a folder of your choice, bring up either your windows media player,or your sound recorder, open the file then play....If your new to this little game..believe me its worth getting into your head...theres loads of unique sound recordings at acoustic archive, stuff you wont hear anywhere else in the world.....

Regards..

BE WARNED! If you're the kind of sheaky rascal (like me) who won't tell any one what browser you have or what OS you use, Then Microsoft will block you from the files.

Yep, I guess I am blocked in more ways than one. I clicked on "Blues sounds," and up came messages. If I Rt click, on one of the titles, all I get with "target save" is about 27 kb of, I presume, the message, no sound. No wav files indications below these messages, just blank space.
My Windows player is enabled along with Real Audio and others- which are needed for some sites that don't work with the Windows player. I presume nothing works with Netscape, which is my preferred system.
