Subject: Folk singers: Voices of Resistance? From: Bobert Date: 23 Sep 02 - 03:38 PM Well, seems every time the US cranks up a real stupid war a number of folk singers come out from the woodwork and lend their voice in resistance. So I am familiar with two such folk musicans, Jim Page from Seattle and Michael Franti, whose band Spearhead is from California. Anyone have other names, Mudcatters included, to add to this short list.? Bobert |

Subject: RE: Folk singers: Voices of Resistance? From: Bobert Date: 23 Sep 02 - 07:52 PM Well, heck, Amos. I read that this afternoon and think it's great. You got music fir it and are you ready to step out in front of a crowd of folks and go at it? You know, reading it might have given me the idea for this thread but if so, not conscously. Have you heard of the two folks I mentioned? And my old buddy Steve Earle just slipped thru the cracks of my mind. Good for you, Larry. Give 'em the dickens... I'm working on somethin' my ownself...
