Hi,

I'd like some advice on which mini amp to buy for my new acoustic electric bass. I'd like one that works with both batteries and alternating current.

Many thanks, W.E.

Go to a store, try some out, talk to the sales guy. Read up a bit, and buy something that suits your pocket, ear and needs.

Not too hard, really

Walking Eagle, the Pignose Hog 30 is perfect for this. Musician's Friend has it for $150 US.

Thanks. I'd heard some good things about the Pignose. I'll try some of the local stores ( all two of them ) that carry amps and see how they sound and how heavy they are.

W.E.

Be sure it's the Hog-30. It's the only one capable of being used for bass. The other Pignoses are guitar amps while the 30 was designed as a keyboard amp and is perfect for bass.
