Don't get too excited yet. We're not 100% sure how its going to all work out or how its going to handle the volume. Almost everything is new here, so there are a lot of variables involved. New Operating system, new Application Server, New Hardware, etc.

Right now it is propagating around the world, so some of you will get it sooner than others. In a week or two we'll have to shut down for a couple of hours to do some further hardware upgrades. We wanted it to be perfect from the start, but we realized that was impossible. I know you are all tired of my promises, so we just jumped in. Enjoy.

I have been privileged to have tested this one for several months and I can assure you it's a winner.......No more line breaks, automatic blickifier, preview posting, and just wait til you check out how you can use the Personal Message function now!!!

The "Filter out" is a little box you can check on the main threads page. You type in "BS:" or "what is folk" in the filter box and hit the "Refresh" button.

I think that it will be very difficult for new users to understand.

The top of the page is very confusing, and I'll expect lots of queries for songs already in the DT to appear.

Lots of good new features, but user friendliness has been sacrificed, in order to better cater for the experienced user

to talk, you need to move the page up so that the dialogue box is visible, then you can say 'hello' or anything else.

Mind, you only lose the BS, assuming you want to do so, if it's marked BS - unlike this BS thread we are on now.

I assume the chatroom is blank because noone is in it.And since nobody is in, it's not worth going in... I expect what will happen is that people will use ordinary threads to arrange to meet up in the chatroom, and then others will join in. And some day we'll get the radio back. After all, we are living in the new millennium.

There's a maximum length to the amount of text that gets translated at one go, so in a long thread it doesn't do the whole thread. I don't know if it's possible to adjust this - maybe the maxiumum for thread splitting could be adjusted so it matched this maximum?

I wrap the QA phase of a massive project - that kept me from three "of COURSE I'll be there, wouldn't miss it for the WORLD!" festivals - get back to my desk (first time since first week of August) after being in the software testing lab and WOW. that is wierd!...are you sure it is not a cached version? I can't find any way to access Mudcat that is NOT the new version.

As Max said, your ISP may be keeping old settings and not refreshing/updating DNS records...you might give THEM a call and ask what the #$&&*((%%$+ IS GOING ON..*grin*
