Subject: RE: Tech: new update From: JohnInKansas Date: 02 Oct 02 - 05:57 AM I just noticed that the notation about which server I'm hooked to is gone from the bottom of the main page. (Shorty/Ragtime/Loki) Of course, the new stuff will never fail, but I'm so used to being able to try them all (keeps me busy while things get fixed) that I wonder if something's changed. I guess I could just try out all of my old links - but knowledgeable comment would probably be more valuable to the community at large (?). John |

Subject: RE: Tech: new update From: George Seto - af221@chebucto.ns.ca Date: 02 Oct 02 - 11:12 AM hi John. There are currently only two, that I know of, servers. Unless something changed recently. So I am using these two URLs to get into the Mudcat Forum. Both Filter out BS threads, and is set for 4 days length. You can change it to whatever number of days you prefer.

Subject: RE: Tech: new update From: Max Date: 02 Oct 02 - 11:43 AM Ragtime died last week. I just redirected the url to www. We are down to one server. Well, correct that, shorty.mudcat.org (with the old mudcat still running) will stay up for a while, but we're not sure how long. |

Subject: RE: Tech: new update From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 17 Oct 02 - 03:48 PM Has anyone else noticed threads "returning to blue" when there have been no refreshes or additional posts? Several times a day I'll see that a thread that I had looked at or posted to earlier appears to have been refreshed because the color of the link on my browser (IE)has changed from red to blue. But when I open it up, nothing new has been posted. This started happening as soon as the upgrade came out. Bruce |

Subject: RE: Tech: new update From: Bill D Date: 17 Oct 02 - 07:44 PM ummm...Max...any plans to replace those dead servers? This sort of thing needs a bit of redundancy, doesn't it? Nervous minds want to know... |
