If anyone is in the area of the Tap and Spile at Garth Lane, Grimsby on Friday 11 October we'd love to see you. I'll be wearing my sexy black top and shaking my eggs as well as singing!

Doug we arrive around 8 to 8.30 and in the past have started around 9 to 9.30 depending on the number of people there. I'm hoping that some turn up from The Oak as I've not seen them for ages, so who knows!

See ya there.

Carole

Could somebody tell me, please, what the "Tap and Spile" used to be and where exactly is Garth Lane. I've been left Grimsby for 27 years now and can't remember things. Maybe it's because I'm gerrinolda"

I haven't a clue what the T&S used to be but I do know that it is right next to the river. Apart from that I can't give any more detail because whenever I drive there I usually get lost!

Hope to see you on Friday

Carole

Yes JfH I am, was and did and it was lovely to see you and chat. I have copied all those wonderful threads re sessions you have so painstakingly put up for us all, so that I know where and when they are. I'm hoping to get out to more over the next few months as we talked about. Thanks for introducing me to John, very interesting bloke and chat. See you soon and take care.

Good evening, Smallpiper, I live in Newton Aycliffe and occasionally get to the Art centre in Darlington. I'm more of a Jazz/Blues man but a place called the Candlelight Club In NA may be the scene of my comeback as Cleethorpes's Charley Patton.* Nice to hear from you. ATB from the fB

PS *I never considered Charley to Be Missipssippi's fB.
