That Bunsen Burner song has to be the most irritating song I have heard in a long time.

He played Sheffield on Sunday and a friend of mine said that when the gig finished at 11p.m. he led everyone out of the Boardwalk pub up the road to HMV who had opened specially to sell copies of the new single.

A lively enough lad. Throws himself into his performances. But not in the same league as Larry Otway (InOBU).

I remember seeing him on The Old Grey Whistle Test in the 70's doing "Cor Baby that's Really Free". He was throwing himself off the top of his amp all the while singing, Really free, really free, really really really free, kick me. Anyone got the words by the way. I remember some of them. I was also inspired to buy his I did it Otway album which had the famous, "Head Butts".

Just seen him for the third time in 2 years in Newcastle. The flip or is it flop side of his new hit is a version of 'house of the risin' sun' so yes it's folk/blues music. He does a tremendous 'tribute' to Bobby Z with a version of 'I will survive' so good that I thought Bob had written it.

regards Ritchie

Well, there is nothing so good as his opera, Chyril... but than again I am somewhat bias, in that his daughter listens to my band all the time! Cheers, buy his new CD, It is not for sale in the US yet. Cheers Larry
