There have been a lot of announcements recently of new instrumental music sessions. Can I suggest that we have a list in the links section to cater for this. The list of Song sessions and Folk clubs has no instrumental sessions. Perhaps the easiest thing to do would be to modify the title to "Sessions (Song and Instrumental) and Folk clubs".

We have a Song Circle permathread, maybe a sessions thread? You would need to ask Joe Offer about making a permathread for it.

I'd have thought that the What's On permathread would be ideal for this.

Unfortunately, it's hardly ever updated and most things are therefore out of date, and it doesn't categorise events in any way.

Ed, even if the list was well organised and well maintained you would still be faced with this:

People will be quick to inform you of a new event at the "Dog's Bollocks" but they will expect you to know, from a distance, that it is the new venue to replace the one that was at the "Dead Donkey", let alone think to give notice that an event has folded.
