There'll be dancing in the Valleys tonight. Fantastic result. Just hope you can hang onto coach Mark Hughes after this.

Gaun yersels, Men o' the Valleys! Great result. Got a hint today to phone my son in the Auld Country where I was told good news awaited. "Faither" says he" Great news ---yer Grand-daughter Lisa has discovered she's gonnae have TWINS!" Great news indeed! "An' there's even better news than that," says he, "I'm watchin the gemme between England an' Macedonia---an' Macedonia's winnin twa tae one!!"
   Ouch!

Bah, Gareth, Germany also did win 2:1 last night (against the Faroes), but would I boast about it? (And we did even better than the Welsh for we scored all three goals)

Wolfgang (grinning)

Not a particular Wales fan, but always good to see the underdogs prevail. And of course it just shows you need the odd Newcastle player in your team!!

Bagpuss: you mean the mighty magpies have had to extend their search to another country to be able to field a team ?

Nigel

Name a premiership team which has no non-English players on their team....

Come back Roy? Never,I hope. The cost is too high.

I see Liechenstein hasn't been doing too badly. I believe England is fancied to beat them in the European Championship , but who can tell?...(The games aren't till March so perhaps the English team had better get some practice in.)

I've always maintained that if Wales could just qualify for a major tournament we'd give the fancied teams a run for their money, and Hartson and Bellamy should scare the sh*t out of any defence (as long as they can control their more, ahem, basic instincts!)

BTW, I don't think Gareth needed telling how the Saxons did!

BJ

Here in Italy newspapers says that the....coach? I 'm not sure if it's the right word- well, the boss of the players- will be fired.

Are you sure it's not the Italian coach who is being fired?
Mark Hughes, will probably be poached by Premier teams. Worse Luck.

Songs2play - I thought that was what polaitaly was saying - that the Italian manager would be fired.

BJ: Big John Hartson is hopeless, and I speak as a Celtic fan! Waste of an awful lot of good money, 5 of the 6 million quid.

New game:

My daughter has got a new car, personal plates, referring to Larsson and her own initials. So her car is "Larsson".

I told my nephew this(A St Mirren fan from Paisley). Coincid. he too has got a new car, says he will call it The St. Mirren Board, - "bright red and rather embarrassing".

My daughter's husband has inherited the old car (a sluggish Toyota Carina). He JOKES (he's English incid.) that he's calling it "Hartson" and I quote: "lumbering, slow but gets there eventually"!

At least it was a fair defeat this time for Italy, unlike in the World Cup.
