Subject: RE: Sessions County Antrim coast From: GUEST,allen woodpecker Date: 17 Oct 02 - 09:11 AM Try the Springhill Bar, Portrush (where you just might meet the learned John Moulden), or Tom's in Ballycastle (again featuring the ubiquitous Dick Glasgow). If your friend gets the chance, go to Kenbane Castle and Bonamargie Friary (where I had my first drink) Ah, for the good old days. They'll have a grand time wherever they go. Good luck. a.w. |
Subject: RE: Sessions County Antrim coast From: alison Date: 17 Oct 02 - 10:52 AM I love Kenbane Castle...... unfortunately last time I was there (2 years ago) they had shut the path around the cliff to stop people getting down there...... I suppose they are worried people will get hurt and sue them.............. shame!!!! Causeway Coast Music slainte alison |
Subject: RE: Sessions County Antrim coast From: GUEST,allen woodpecker Date: 17 Oct 02 - 01:13 PM Me and my mates used to get steamin' sitting up on top of the cliffs. The views are unforgettable. Have you ever been to Murlough Bay or Whitepark Bay, Alison? Too many beautiful spots to mention here. Jeez, I sure do miss it sometimes. a.w. |
Subject: RE: Sessions County Antrim coast From: alison Date: 17 Oct 02 - 08:57 PM many many times Allen, I used to live up in that part of the world over towards Castlerock, everyday my dog and I would walk some part of the coast, I miss it too. I loved having those beaches all to myself in winter. there's a nice walk round from Portbradden where you go up the steps and through a natural cave / arch........ beautiful...... My first school sleepover was at Whitepark Bay youth hostel, when I was in P7. North Antrim Coast slainte alison |
