Help: music in Carlisle?

Hi all,
I am going to Carlisle soon for a short stay, and want to make the most of it music wise. I will be there for a Saturday and Sunday. Any suggestions of things to do? Open mic would be interesting, but anything connected with music would be interesting to hear about. (E.G. second hand or new instruments shops etc.) Thanks!
