My friends from the Acoustic Guitar Magazine forum are coming to Columbus again. They'll be arriving from LA, MN, AL, MS, GA and FL (I hope I got the state abbrev's correct.) A session on Saturday, an open mike and sessions and perhaps workshops on Sunday. A chance to sample hand made guitars by GA and AL luthiers. Last year IamJohnne from this fprum came along and enjoyed it imensely. While, not as large and intricate as the FSGW gathering, These AG Magazine gatherings are just as much fun and have the same type of comraderie. If you are interested in attending please P.M. CarolC or me. If you play another instrument we won't make you play guitar.

I played my accordion at the open mic at their gathering in New York City this past August. I kept wondering when they were going to figure out that what I was playing wasn't a guitar. I guess I fooled 'em cause they never did kick me off the stage or anything. Some of them even seemed to like it ;-)

I think it's cool another state has seen the light and joined the south. I don't know my abbrev's either. Is it MaiNe or MiNnesota that has come aboard?

Actually, you're more right than you realize, Patty. There will be one attendee from Minnesota. He's the reason for the gathering in the first place. He's going to be in the area (Columbus GA) on that weekend, and, well, you know... any excuse for getting together to play music, etc ;-)

It's being called a Southeast Gathering because it's being held in the southeast (USA) and most of the people will be from the southeast. But Mudcatters and Guitar Forum people from anywhere in the world are welcome to attend.
